I was in my engine compartment and was looking at this in my 2000 v10 what is it used for and has anyone removed it and is it important. It's the black cylinderish housing with a hose I would imagine if I did remove it I would need to plug what the hose comes out of. What brought it to my attention I was looking at the install directions for a CAI and they have you remove it. Just curious if I can remove it now.
