This problem happened overnight. My truck will idle fine in PARK. When I press the accelerator it tries to choke out.
Any help in diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated.
BTW. This truck is a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 178,000 miles. It has been serviced faithfully and has never had any major problems.
Thank You,

Your cats clogged, thats my bet. Crawl under and remove the o2 sensers brefore the cat and fire it up, if it works then you know that the cats clogged ![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Removing the o2 sensors just let enough of the gas's the excape so it'll run right, people always ask why would remvoving them tell you about that cat.
But that sounds like the problem. It can happen really suddenly
