Default Brake Fluid Reservoir

I have a 96 it's a 2500 v10 and I noticed the front reservoir for brake fluid was empty so I filled it up and it still just gradually leaks out. Is the front reservoir just for front brakes and the back reservoir (closest to cab) for just the rear brakes? Asking this question will make it easier to find the leak lol. Thanks

Front reservoir is for rear brakes. The rear line likes to rust, and break..... right above the gas tank...... Find the leak, and fix it, before it fails completely. (tends to come as a rather rude surprise.....)

Oh trust me, how do you think I found the leak to begin with lol! So front reservoir is for rear breaks. Okay, well when it gets warmer over here in Ohio I'll have to find out where she is leaking from. It's just been one thing after another but it was my first truck and I have had it for almost 4 years and she still has a lot of life in her lol. Thanks!

Don't hold your breath on that. The forecast isn't looking promising.

Haha I know right! I might be able to get her to a friends garage/shop and work on her. That's where I fixed the power steering gearbox
