Default Howdy all

I am trying to help our young neighbors figure out why their truck won't start. It is a 2001 Ram 1500, 4wd, auto trans, 5.9L, not a hemi. There is no fuel at the shraeder valve. The fuel pump sounds like it's working. I tried to pressurize the tank with a small compressor. With engine off, the pressure never rose from zero psi. Does this mean there is a leak in the tank, maybe on top? There is no gas leakage from tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the pump runs, but, you don't get any pressure..... chances are the pump is toast. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

Going to move this to second gen ram tech for ya.
