Default No Heat

Hello, as this is my first post, Please bare with me. I own a 2000 Ram 1500. I have been having issues with a lack of heat in the cabin. If I get the revs above 2500 rpm, there is lots of heat. The engine heat is perfect, and both heater core lines are hot. I found a door lying in the bottom of the floor distribution box. it is about two inches x four inches. I can see the area designed for hinging is bent, so I am hoping it just fell off. I am certainly thinking I have found my problem.
My question; Is this the blend door? Are there any exploded views available of the heater box?
My dash is cracked beyond repair, and I found that LMC Truck has come out with aftermarket replacements for $240. If I need to tear apart to repair heat, I will wait till replacement dash can be ordered.

cheers,
Andy

I think you found your problem. If you look in the faq section here, you can find the service manual thread. Download the 01 service manual, diagrams and pics are in there.

Welcome to DF!
