I would certainly try that. Get the heavy duty set from electrical advantage off of Ebay. (about 100 bucks.) Fluid and filter change, and adjust your bands while you are in there.

I went ahead and ordered that set...it's scheduled for delivery on or before Saturday...hope that's true so I can knock it out this weekend.

However, I don't think I'm going to touch the bands... there hasn't been very many miles put on the truck (probably about 5k) since I changed the fluid/filter and adjusted the bands. Edit: There may be a few more miles put on it than that, maybe 7k. I just checked where I ordered the Castrol ATF+4 from Adv Auto for the fluid change on 4/4/2013.

BTW, any suggestions. It has seemed that I've lost a little bit of transmission fluid. In looking around, I found a little bit of seepage on some hoses low in the engine bay at the front on the passenger side...one of the hose's comes up & then looks as if it goes into the radiator. Is that a hose that goes into the trans cooler?

Any recommendations on if I need to replace some hoses while I got the pan off. It looks like regular "heater hose" in that area that clamps onto a metal tube. Because of the crud that's stuck to it, kinda hard to tell where the fluid is seeping from (probably from one of the rubber hose clamps).

OK...thanks again for the great advice...I did this and problem solved...the transmission is no longer starting off in second gear. I will add that it appeared that the gov pressure solenoid I removed was a Borg Warner heavy duty one...same size and shape. So, it's my mere assumption is that the pressure sensor was probably the culprit. Regardless, I replaced both to be sure.

And please accept my apology for the long delay in reporting back. Work got really hectic afterward.

Good to hear that it took care of your problem.
