Question 2001 ram 1500 transmission/ pump problem

2001 ram 1500, 5.9. with 112,000 miles. recently changer governor switch & other sensor in trans. solved shifting problem until yesterday, heard noise like a power steering pump low on fluid, then all of a sudden it was like I shifted to neutral. coasted to stop, found nothing loose, when start back up it would make noise & pull forward 100-200 fy then do same thing, everytime I cut off motor & wait a few minutes it will make pump sound noise & pull forward or backward short distance. is this my pump? and is this an easy fix like the governor sensor? any help truly appreciated & needed...

Check fluid level, and see what it looks like. If it is a pump failure, it's rebuild time. Not an easy fix....
