97 dodge ram 1500 318 jerking

Default 97 dodge ram 1500 318 jerking

Ok i have a 97 dodge ram 1500 ext cab 4x4
With the 318 i just changed the plugs wires
Distrubtor cap rotory button coil and did
All re wiring of spark plug wires by dealer specs but when i drive and my over drive is on i hit 50-60 mph it jerks like crazy but if the over drive is off it rids smooth wat could b the problem

Did it do this prior to replacing the plugs?

Did you route the wires per the TSB (and detailed write up found here) or according to the factory clips?

No i did it prior to the plug and wire change but worse the fireing order was messed up

No i havent changed it yet cuz i cant remove the old cuz its heat locked and they broke the mounting bracket off of it

Broken mounting bracket will pretty much assure you that it won't work right. Only two bolts holding it on though.
