Default Clunk over bumps, everything is new

When i go over a bump i feel a clunk in the steering column and in the pedals ive replaces everyting i can think of in the front end i did the HD steering setup with new pitman arm all new balljoints and tie rod ends and brakes and new control arms steering box brace and rock solid ram bushing i dont think there is anything on the front end more than 500 miles old even did sway bar links and bushings but the sound and feel of the clunk has ot changed at all. Even after the rock soild ram bushing i still have a ton of play in the column any ideas? tires are at 35 psi and are also new shocks are new and yes there very very tight and not the clunk

Play is more than likely the steering box.

I don't see shocks mentioned in your list. Check the lower mounting bolts. Those guys get some serious torque to hold them on.....

Lower shock bolts are supposed to be torqued to something over 100 ft lbs..... are they indeed tight?

You can test that simply by bouncing the front of the truck.

definetly check ur shocks I was sure mine were tight and I started shoving up and down on my bumper and sure enough they were loose. also didn't see u mention the steering shaft between the column and box? there are little ujoints in there that are known to go bad just have someone wiggle the wheel back and forth while u are under the hood watching it. if the shaft is ok then yeah maybe steering box

have a friend bounce the truck while you look for where the noise is coming from.

well after bouncing on it and shaking it around its coming from where the stering column passes thru the fire wall went under the dash everything is tight must be a internal bushing i was really hoping that the rock solid ram bushing was gonna fix it t it did not, maybe time for a new column
