2500 360 vs 2500 Cummins
How much were the 2500 2nd gen rams changed when cummins was added? Im only asking because Ive been on the search for a 2500 ram that is wrecked or has something major wrong with it so I can get for dirt cheap. Im using it to do a manual/axle swap into my 1500 and therefore make it a 360 2500. However, if I could find a wrecked cummins, then I could do a complete swap for less than buying a good cummins outright. Besides, Ive done a lot of body work to my current truck and don't wanna sell it for a lesser quality cummins (not the engine, but everything else).
Big thing Ive heard of is that frames are different and they use heavier axles than the D60 axles found on regular 2500s. If thats true, then Im not gonna bother.

I can offer this. I have a 97 Ram 2500 360 gas with Dana 60's. I have a 99 Ram 2500 Cummins with a Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear. You will find the same to be true for a Ram 2500 V10 gas with Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear.
Read Ham Bone's Dana 60 Swap thread on DF, it's quite informative. K.
