I didn't want to come off as rude but I was wondering why it sounds like an old beat up tractor that barely runs.....

im not sure why but in videos, these 4bt's do sound very "clattery" but they do sound much better in person, they sound just like the 6 cyl CTD in the rams with a slightly different tone, i mean they are the exact same engine, minus 2 cylinders, and i do have a belt chirp with the lope but it goes away when it warms up a bit

a little more news to report,

with the combination of a Hella electronic flasher unit and a relay, i was finally able to bypass the cam sensor with 100% reliability,

and with the big injectors and the injection pump tuning, the AG injection pump is becoming very unruley on the street, so i will be switching it to a on road govenor very soon, other than that it has been great runner so far

here is the cam sensor bypass during building and testing, i cleaned it up a lot for the install

I know this is an older post but I am working on mine now. How did you end up controlling the trans and what does the stock tach need to see to work? Thanks.

The OP hasn't been here for the better part of 10 years..... You would be much better off starting your own thread, telling us what you are driving, what you are doing, and what questions you have.
