I used the 45 dollar space for the bottom of the spring. Worked great and no problems in a year and a half.

If the springs are same width I wouldn't think so. Unless they are designed differently for some reason....

Keep in mind, if you starting getting close to/go over 3" up front, you are going to be asking for trouble. The first time your suspension goes to full droop, you will snap balljoints. That makes for a seriously interesting ride......

There *might* be new balljoints that have a higher tolerance of movement, but, I don't know..... Mine is a 4x4, so, no need to try and find them. (but, I have seen them for other trucks in the past.)

i think id like to keep the front at 3" & the rear 4" the more i think about my options.. might do a couple inches body lift after if im not happy :-D i dont think thatd affect as much but still get me off the ground nice & give me bigger tire options too

Larger tires is a very effective way to increase ground clearance. Just diesel springs should get you about 2". (if you get new ones, probably more, as I am sure yours have settled some in 15 years. ) Check prices at the local parts store for new ones, you might be surprised how cheap they sometimes are.

Side Note: I drove thru Decatur last summer, in my way to Portland. Heart of the Amish country there. That was kinda cool. LOTS of horse/buggy traffic there.
