Exclamation 96 - 99 help asap please

I have a 1996 ram 1500 318 2wd auto single cab short wheel, I'm buying a wrecked 99 ram 1500 360 4wd auto single cab short wheel.. The 99 has been wrecked and the body is beat up bad.. I want to take the body off of my 96 and swap to the 99. I know I will have to cut out the hole for the 4x4 arm in the floor board. Will this work???? Another question I have is about the interior. My 96 interior is rough, but the interior in the 99 is flawless.. (I would just keep the cab on but bad title) I figure the carpet, and seats and that stuff will work, but the dash systems are my questions.. I would change out the WHOLE dash system, will it work since I'll be on the actual truck it's supposed to be on? If you can help please let me know and if there's anything I need to know that I didn't ask please tell me!!!!

I *think* the floor boards changed in 98, but, maybe not for the single cab..... Dash and such should bolt right in, but, you will also need to run the electronics from the 98 for the gauges and such to work. (which also means the 98 PCM, and wiring harnesses.) The 98 PCM will run your 318 a bit rich in open loop, but, that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

How is the frame on the 98, didn't get tweaked in the accident did it?

No there's no frame damage. I plan on using his 360. Only thing I'm using of mine is the body parts like cab, bed, hoods, and etc.. But the drive terrain will be 99.. All it needs to run is a hub assembly..

And I need to know a good cheaper exhaust to run, I prefer run with cats and mufflers, but I hate the popping noise, I like a deep rumble.. I like loud and deep rumbling. No extremely loud popping sounds.

Long tubes, duals, and flowmaster super 10's. (no cats)

If you want a cat, shorties, high-flow direct fit cat, and a super 10.

1998 and later models used a different floorboard and 4WD shifter.

I think you will have fun with the seats..... I think the changes were due to the way the seatbelts mounted?
