Default lucky me.... brakes are GONE

So....This morning,my brake pedal starts feeling a lil "spongy"

get home,park it,bear down on the pedal,look underneath,no leaks.

OK....maybe some air got in the lines ?

take it down to a shop, pads and rotors OK,cant bleed the lines....only a dealer can do that with a scanner. They put they're scanner on it....thing lights up like a xmas tree, maybe half doz codes related to brakes n sensors.

All of sudden.....NO BRAKES AT ALL.

had to drive her home using side streets, puttin in nuetral, using the emergency brake.

Damn....jus put a lot of $ into her on that vinyl wrap n suspension

The shop wouldn't bleed the brakes because only a dealer with a scanner can do that? WTF?

Any brake fluid in the reservoir? Tried bleeding them yourself?

Check your vacuum hose and check valve at booster. And yeh, that makes no sense about needing a scanner to bleed the brakes. Or your master cylinder is bad. Or a bad leak on a line or wheel cylinder??

Are any of the lites on? ABS? Brake?

Chances are, the line going above the gas tank blew. It won't always show up on the ground right away.

Don't need a scanner to bleed the brakes either.

Think I would crawl under there, and closely inspect the full length of the rear brake line, pull the drums, and see what you find.
