I was told that 5 in was the highest you could go. Any higher and you would have to get custom driveshafts made and that can't be very cheap.

I have the 5 1/2" skyjacker susp lift with a 2" leveling kit.
No vibrations.... smooth as stock.

My last dodge was a 2500 V-10

By all means go for it!

Most Suspension lift kits come with a wedge that goes between the leaf pack and the axle.
This corrects most of the the diveshaft angle problems in the rear.

You cannot do this in the front due to steering geometry.....the truck would wander side to side down the road from negative camber.

This was not a problem with my '98 1500. After the 7" lift I was able adjust the the lower control arms forward for positive camber and the truck drives great and still no drive shaft vibrations.

Replace the factory steering stabilizer with a dual steering stabilizer and you should have no problems.

$250 is a really good price for driveshafts i didn't realize that you could get them so cheap. I was also wondering, with a 5in suspension lift are the brake lines front and rear on the 1500's long enough?

The lines are long enuf but skyjacker included new longer brackets.

Thanks, I've been wanting to take my 3in lift off and go with a 5in along with my 3in body lift and run 38x13.5. Do you think that is enough lift to clear those tires. My wheels are 16x10 and I forgot the backspacing.
