Exclamation Ran fine last night, won't start now

I drove my truck home last night and it ran just fine and now it won't start. Right now I'm running the hair dryer on the dist cap and it's been on for about 10-15 minutes now and it still won't start, any suggestions? And yes, it snow EARLY this morning and now it's melting due to being roughly 36 outside.

Thanks!

Telling us what happens when you turn the key would help...

Well, fortunately, I left the hair dryer on the dist cap for about 20 more minutes and it started up so nevermind, it's the cap and rotor. Haha

Does it click when you try to start it? will it turn over at all? Could be a fuel problem (fuel pump went out), electrical (battery dead - sometimes that can happen very suddenly), starter is bad, crank position sensor is bad, too much water got in the distributor cap, etc etc etc.....the list is pretty long without more specifics

EDIT:***Whoops, you ninja'd me!

Lol, yeah, it wasn't the fuel problem definitely because I could smell it and it all turned over and acted like it wanted to start, I pin pointed the problem quickly where as my dad had a '99 Ram 1500 with the 318 and the cap and rotor went bad on it.

Thank you everyone for the input!
