Default 2001 Dodge Ram Transmissoin

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L 46RE transmission. Transmission went bad so I replaced it with a rebuilt one and a new torque converter (from autozone). Took it for a test drive when I finished it, would not shift out of 1st, called the shop and let know about it. They said need to clear computer with a scanner, they came over and did so but still would not shift. They told me they made a mistake and set it up for a 99 instead of 01 and would have to change some internal wiring. Picked it up the next day and half way home (about 10 miles) would not shift out of 2nd. Called them again and picked up. Got it back again, now it shuddering when it down shifts from 2nd to 1st. Also will not go when I slow down unless I put gas pedal all the way down. They say it's the torque converter and not the transmission. Looking to see what someone else thinks.
Thanks Mike

If it's in limp mode, it is the trans. You should still have warranty on both though, so, take it back, have them fix it right. Even if that means a new torque converter and trans.
