Default spark plug wire swap?

Alright, well im about to change my plugs and wires and I noticed that I still got my old wires that came off a camaro that was only used for about a week and I was goin to use them as opposed to spending 30bucks on a new set. I looked it up at autozone and the only difference I could find is the; (T=truck,C=car)

(T)Weight: 1.8 lbs, (C)Weight: 1.2 lbs, (T)Coil Boot Material: EPDM, (C)Coil Boot Material: Silicone, (T)Wire Core Material: Suppressor, (C)Wire Core Material: Wire Wound

Everything else seemed to be the same and there almost a perfect fit length wise. Just wondering if the diff are really that important. Thanks for yalls help!!!

Give it a shot, and see what happens. Worst case, you will have to buy a new set.

dont forget that it is easy to mix wires no 5 and no 7. my dad had a saying, for chrysler small and big blocks. "the big block is right with the dist in front but the shaft turns wrong counterclockwise. the small block is wrong with the dist in the back but the shaft turns right clockwise." " no 5 cyl is before 7 on the block AND on the cap." thanks dad.

that is a nifty little trick! As far as the length and fitting goes, I used wires from a Pontiac Montana, granted it was a 6cy so had to use two of my old ones. But they were a little long, I just had to space it out a little between the holders so its not an issue and for the fit, the boots are longer so the tips touch a bit, but they snaped on nice and tight. (the ones form the camaro were in worse shape then i remembered!)

Don't forget to have a look at TSB 18-48-98. Incorrect wire routing on these trucks can cause mysterious misfires.
