Gotta be one of the joints in the steering..... Maybe the at the point it tilts?

Probably have to tear it down for a visual inspection..... I can't really think of an easier way.

I had that same noise.

Joint where the shaft connected to the steering gear was loose. Tightened it up and all good for now.

It was pretty obvious how loose it was. It was slipping and working on coming off the gearbox completely

Where's that shaft where it connects? Like I said in a different thread, I'm learning how to do these things. Haha

Under the hood. Below the driver side of the radiator. Steering Shaft comes down from the fiirewall. Under the brake booster and master cylinder. Steering gear box is bolted to the frame.

OK. I took a look at the connections under the master cylinder and its definitely lose. I'm gonna have my brother help me out with that and I'll get back to you guys. Thank you for all of the help. I'm really glad this forum is here.

Dont forget to check the end of the steering shaft where it joins the steering gear box
