Default 2500 Steering box on 1500?

Will 2500 steering boxes fit the 1500 on 1999 dodge rams? I have a sport 5.9. Itll be getting converted to a cummins since the body is the same and so I assume a 2500 box will fit a 1500 if frames are the same.

Also, is there any paticular box I should look for? Ive heard lots about borgeson steering boxes and a steering box stabilizer would help even more. Either way, Im going to need a new one before long as I am leaking like crazy where the steering wheel input shaft goes into the box.

Go with a redhead steering box. (better quality rebuild methinks) I do believe they are all the same, half ton to one ton. Only difference might be steering ratio.

I think red head fits the bill a little better. Biggest bonus is not having to buy a borgenson input shaft or grind on a 400$ box.
