I'm running 3:55 and 33's.
Still roast both off the line on dry road easy.
But 1725rpm on the highway at 70mph. Sucks.
Constant shifting. Bogs down. Always hunting.
Some days when it's windy I shut off O/D.
Sometimes I just shut it off.
1000rpm difference.

Your saying I could still do my brakestands with 33's and 3.55 gears?

How badly do you want to rebuild your transmission?

If you're doing brakestands and burnouts you should sell your truck and get a muscle car.

If you live in a hilly area like I do. You will actually get better mpg going a little deeper then what would be comparable to stock. Especially if you have an auto like most of us do.

Lol. Yes. I've got L/S and can roast them all I want. I don't. But I can. Easy. Breaks loose without even trying.
But trucks are light and magnums torque fine.

With my current set up with stock motor, stock 3.53 gearing, and 33 inch tires, I can roast tires...but not very long. My motor has it in there I think, but I think my tranny gives to much slip and power transfer ends up sucking. I cant wait till I get my 2500 cummins swap done. Ill be roasting tires all day in my 5 speed Maybe 6 if I find one...
