Bed liner on rocker panels???
Has anyone applied the spary on Bed liner stuff like herculiner on there rocker panels?? Did it hold up with normal road driving??? I want to black out the rocker panels and I think the flat texture look would be cool
It's a little hard to see in my sig pic, but I have bedliner on the bottom parts of my doors and my rockers all the way around (and the bottom part of the bed for the sake of matching)....It does stick well to most of the surfaces with the exception of a few "problem" areas - mainly the curves around the wheel wells on the bed. I applied two coats after spending a significant amount of time sanding, but I'm still having some minor cracking/chipping issues around the rear wheel wells. It's really not a big deal in my opinion and I do love the look/protection of the bed liner on my truck.
Just take your time sanding and taping, that's what determines the final quality of the work! I used raptor liner which comes in a kit and I used an air powered spray gun to put it on. It does hold up very well to every day driving, I've had it on my truck for a little over a year. If you have any rust on the body, treat that FIRST (por-15) before putting the bed lining over it...I have a little bit coming back on the bottoms of my doors

Alright. Reason I brought up herculiner I was at my dad's and he has a 13 spary cans of it he got from a friend who bought them and ended up just taking his truck I. For a line-X bed liner... So I can get the cans from my dad for nothing.

I have it on the rocker panels of my truck, it looks pretty good, and it keeps away mud, dirt, and road grime, easier to clean. Just make sure you wash the truck really well, I had a few places flake off because it had dirt under the spray.
ive got herculiner along the bottom half of the truck and its held up great. the spray stuff will wind up coming off. go out and buy the herculiner kit with the roller and everything. its all in the prep if you dont prep it well it wont stick right. i rolled on the herculiner and have had it on for 2 years now no isseus what so ever held up well looks good no rock chips
