2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 ext cab 4x4 5 speed, it doesn't have 2nd gear, runs and drives just no 2nd, what other dodge vehicles can I pull a tranny out of? I've heard you can pull out of a dakota with the same engine? Is that true? If so, what all with I need from the dakota? If there is another way to fix this please tell me thanks so much!!!

 

Adjust your front band, if that doesn't do it, drop the pan and look for friction material laying in there.
If this is an auto trans.

 

No it's a manual

 

Any Ram/Dakota NV3500 from a 4x4 should work. Just need the trans, and it should bolt right in. May wanna change clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing while you are right there though.
