As I lean away from putting a 400 c.i. motor in the truck I am wanting to swap in the gear drive. Has anyone ever done this?

Are you looking to install a gear drive setup onto a 5.2/5.9 magnum motor? If so, what's the purpose for it? A good double roller timing chain and gear set, along with a MOPAR Performance tensioner will produce rock solid timing for a long time and can be purchased for less than half the price of a gear drive setup, such as:
