After driving with 35s and 3.55 for almost a year I think I can say that yes 4.10s with 35s would be okay. For sure a LOT better than 3.55. If I had an ORE with 35s I wouldn't spend the money to switch to 4.56.

So to clarify the OD switch only controls the lockup of the converter in 4th gear? The position of the switch would have no effect for regular town driving in 1-3 gear?

O/D only does exactly that. Disables overdrive. TCC lockup will still happen in third gear.
