Default 2001 front end rebuild

How much should it cost to have the front end of my 2001 Dodge Ram pick up rebuilt. It is a standard truck with a 3.9 6 cylinder engine. It squeaks like crazy while driving down the road. I think I need new ball joints and the works. Thanks for the help.

Depends on where you take it, and what quality parts they put in. If they replace EVERYTHING, you could easily be looking at 1200 bucks for the whole job. (parts and labor) That price may, or may not.. cover the alignment you will also need.

Most places will give you a free estimate. Take it to a shop or two around where you live, have it inspected, and see what they have in mind. That will be a MUCH more accurate method of pricing.

The squeak on the front end of my truck was bad ball joints. They aren't too hard to replace yourself and you'd save some serious coin....

4x4 or 4x2?

Figure that half or a little over that is what the parts will cost, then you have the labor to install every thing. 2000 to 2400 dollars is about right.

I got an estimate to have the ball joints replaced on my truck, and it was a little over 500 dollars.

Buy the parts from rockauto much cheaper moog ball joints are $27ish much cheaper than they would charge you for factory garbage.
