What if Ieft the computer to run the trans only but by pass the fuel elements and all

The electronic governor in the trans requires input from the TPS.
If you can rig that up you maybe able to use that trans.

Also needs input from map, and crank position sensor. (for engine RPM.) Not having a bunch of the sensors will really annoy it though......
