I thought that was the liquid line going to the metering device.

HeyYou is right. The low side hook up is right up top. The orifice is right after the condenser. The port after that is low side

BTW, it has nothing to do with keeping the tree huggers happy. Refrigerants can be extremely destructive to the ozone. One particle of a CFC can destroy 100,000 ozone particles. Just imagine how many particles are in 8oz of refrigerant. That, and the EPA can tear your *** up if you get reported for knowingly venting refrigerant into the atmosphere.
