I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.2 v8 I want to either turbo it or supercharge it does anybody know where I can this done or even if they make turbos or supers for my truck im looking for any info on this please help me out . Thanks

 

Go to www.krcperformance.com for the supercharger or type in "Dodge Ram supercharger" in a search engine like yahoo, google, etc. I haven't heard much about the turbo, so I can't be much help there.

 

I can't help you with a turbo, but I have researched superchargers for my 5.2, and here are the kits that are available that I would trust. They run from $3500-$4500 new, though there has been a used Paxton 1201217 on e-Bay for $1500 the last few days. Not sure if it is gone yet or not. You can also put out a request on some of the used parts finders on the internet (like www.partrunner.com). They send requests to junkyards nationwide. If they have your part, they e-mail you. I found two M1 intakes that way last week, but have decided not to change my intake afterall).

These are external centrifugal type supercharger kits, not roots style. You would want an M1 intake to run one of these to it's full potential (and so you don't have to replace plemun gaskets every week).

These are full kits, but you could also peice one together, might be cheaper that way too.
