My 2001, 1500 truck sustained a hit and run, while parked, parking lot smash to the grill that luckily only damaged the grill. I bought a replacement (plastic/chrome finish) that did not come with a badge. I cut the original badge out of the damaged grill but when I was pulling the badge out some of the silicone tore the chrome paint out from underneath the badge. I would like to reuse the original badge...but.

I now have to repaint the emblems Rams Head with chrome paint. The black and red areas look great. Any suggestions on chrome paint that sticks to acrylic?

I understand I can purchase an OEM badge but would like to keep the fix as inexpensive as possible.
