I found a extended cab short bed 2wd 5 speed for sale at a lot for $2000.00. It has a 318 a/c(cold) vinyl seats and rubber floor mat. Not sure about windows. Has about 230,000 miles and missing the spare and jack.It is making a whistling sound and he said it is the throw out bearing goes away when clutch is pressed. I just went though with my truck and don't want to do this again. What do you guys think from what i have told about the truck.thanks

 

High mileage, more than likely is going to need a clutch job, not to mention the plenum gasket fix.... If you don't wanna do another clutch, skip this one.

 

Find another, before you pay out the *** for that one. You know everything thats been on your truck, you know what probably will have to be done in the future. On a "new" truck, everything might have to be done..

 

Thanks i just want something that has a/c and my truck has play in the steering. It is a 1988 Dodge D 100

 

as for the a/c they make r12 substitute stuff but I never tried it. and the play is being caused by the worthless joint on the steering shaft that connects at the steering box. this is fixed by making a new shaft with new and better u-joint setup its a common problem on dodges of that generation. here is a couple links
