No oil consumption so far But the plenum is fixed and after I got all that done is when I started having this issue. It won't stay started unless giving it gas or unplugging iac So as far as plenum being fixed id say yeah it's fixed but haven't ran it long enough to tell if it's consuming oil

Verify that the IAC is actually DOING something. Pull the filter housing, and watch down in the IAC well to see if you can see it move when someone else turns the key.

ok do i need to have em start it and see if it moves at all or just turning the key? im starting to think after i did all this plenum and all that stuff the battery died on me, for about a week it didnt have power, bought a new one slapped it in and it just wont go now lol maybe my computer is fried or the gas went bad? that is if the IAC is responding those are the only other two things i can think of to check

Yeah, it is kinda stashed inside its little housing there... According to theory, if you disconnect the battery for a bit, so the PCM forgets everything, when you turn the key on again, it will run the IAC all the way closed, to figger out where "zero" is again. Need to be paying attention though, and have a nice bright lite to see it close up, cause it will back right off some again. (if it's working properly.) You can put your finger on the part that sticks out of the throttle body, and see if you feel anything when the truck is first keyed up.

Not getting any P0505 codes?

'94-'95, '96 and up are OBDII, you need OBDI.
