Default plenum gasket / temp guage

so this last weekend i spent many hours replacing the plenum gasket in my 2000 ram. i replaced it because you all told me that's what made the ratteling noise in my motor compartment. well you were right. no more rattle. thanks for the help. but after i put the intake manifold back on, my truck leaked oil for about a day or two and then stopped. is this normal? i'm thinking the new gaskets just had to break in or something. any thoughts about this? also now whenever i start my truck, usually only happens in the morning when the engine is cold, it makes a noise on the passenger side as if a fluid just started flowing through a hose as if you turned on your garden hose. can anyone help me out with this situation? thanks for any responses

you still have air in your cooling system, check your radiator level and you'll find that it's low. fill it up and bleed the air out. as for the oil leak... where's it leaking from?

ya i think it was the coolant flowing into the heater core that made the noise. its fixed now though. but my motor still leaks from the back i believe near the distributor. maybe i just didn't seal the gaskets well enough or missed a spot with cilicone. tonight im going to take the manifold back off and redo it. thanks for the help.

hey i was also wondering if anyone knows how i can disconnect the main fuel line from the fuel injector bars. that's the only thing preventing me from removing the whole intake manifold. do i need a special tool.

yes, you need a fuel line disconnect tool. Lisle tools makes a kit and you can get them at most auto parts stores for about $10~12 bux.
