My 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 5.9 gas 46re auto tranny is bad

I just found a 2001 dodge 1500 sport with 5.9 gas and auto for super cheap so does this have the same trAnny as my 2500????

The 1500 needs a new front axle and radiator so the guy is selling it cheap I'm thinking if the trannys are the same I can swap it I to my truck and I'll have a good parts truck as well

Thanks I'll try and work a deal out it's only 2k and body is perfect and has a lot less miles than my 200k truck

 

Try to just get the trans. You don't want the axles or anything else off yhe 1500 supsenion wise. It is 4x4 right?

 

It's a quad cab short bed just like my truck plus it has the 360 so if I buy the whole truck I'd have a spare motor and all the body parts and yes it's a 4x4 it's lifted and has a eaton locker In the rear with paper work so I'm sure I could sell the 1/2 ton lift and 5 lug rear end to make a couple bucks back...

 

I'm on my way to test drive it right now so we will see how it shifts and runs
