Devil your right with 1 SB hed be fine but he stated he wanted 2 thats why i said that. Personally id rather have 2 good 10s than 1 12 but if you want some cool boxes for subs JL has a enclosure that replaces the base of the center console in the rams and they also have stealth boxes for the rear seats but they wouldnt work with SBs so you might just want to find a shop to make you a nice box or something

I've been doing audio competitions for years.....both as a spectator and competitor....and I can tell you right now you can get beat by 1 sub vs. 2 or 3 subs. It all amounts to how much wattage, how well your vehicle is soundproofed, the quality of the installation, and then lastly just having decent equipment.

If you are going to go with 2 subs, go with something other then Solobarics...

One last thing, running one sub will let you run more power from the amp to the sub, meaning it will hit harder and sound better. Mind you, that's provided you have your system installed properly. 1 sub also means you dont need a super expensive amp to push it. You can use a midgrade amp that gives it all the power it would need. Believe me, the difference between 500 and 2000 dollars is a lot when you are doing audio.

I spent just over $3400 on a sound system back when I was 18.....I also made that kind of money and had no responsibilities but myself and my car.....

i had two tens in my truck... they were visoniks. (before they became the pep boys brand .. about 2 years ago right when they started there market) and an SPL amp (again, before they were made to buy at walmart) and they hit so hard they actually made my rear view mirror come off the windsheild... now im in the works of running an alpine type r 10 in the center seat (removed and replaced) and running about 1200 watts to it and portin the box.... it will sound nasty

i think i have figured out what i'm going to do with the subs. going to build the box edges. then measure air space to determine what i can put in there. if enough air space for 2 solo baric ls710's there going in. then find room for the amp so where. hoping to fit in the middle. if not then under seat. if not enough are space going for 8's. does anyone have the 8's? what do you think of them?

You can fit 3 8" subs in the rear easily.

8" subs arent bad, and I would rather use them then 6x9's

There is nothing special about my box. Its just a square box with a 12 on top and one in the front. The box just sits on my backseat behind the drivers seat. and the amp is screwed to the floor under the seat.

figured out the are space for the box. there is about 1ft2 on one side and about 1.2 on the other side. there should be enough room for the solobaric ls710's. i'm still looking for an amp to power the both of them.

I run a single 12" sub (JL Audio Stealthbox) in my regular cab, and it's way more than I need. I have the gain turned way down on the amp and it still rattles the cab.
