Timeing Chain ...
I put this one on last May... http://www.socaldakota.com/performan...ve_train2.html it's a little pricey and I'm sure you can find others cheeper. just stay away from the stock chain.
Thanks , yeah 100.00 for just a common part that will not give me any performance is to high for me .Im going to do a serch agin but i really doin't want to spend that much money
Rollermaster is the best timing chain brand out there, in my opinion anyway. But you're not going to find a performance setup for less than $100. Heck, some stock chains almost cost that much. [8D]
And your statement that it won't give you any performance is completely incorrect. A timing chain that is stretched or worn will start to hurt your performance. There's also the possibility that a worn chain could break. If you run an aftermarket cam (mild or extreme) and re-worked heads, a good tight chain is a must.

I knew about the chain being stretched and bending my valves and so on .But to me a timeing chain for performance was unherd of ? So then thats about the average for a GOOD chain ? 100.00 ?

the chain in my link has several keyway's to setup different timing built into it. that's where the performance chains differ from a stock chain, as well as not being crap from factory, they wont stretch easily.
I know rollermaster has a billet timing chain set for the SB Chrysler motors. It's a 9 key adjustable set with an IWIS chain. I don't have any pricing on it though...and apparently they don't have a website on the internet. It's hard to find anyone online that even sells rollermaster products. [X(]
The single chain rollermaster for my Grand Prix was $149.00, and I bought it from a grand prix mod retailer. So I'm guessing the Chrysler setup is around the same price.
JP Performance also makes a very similar billet set (also 9 key adjustable). The part number is (JP 5985). They also have a website: www.jp.com.au (it's an aussie company). I don't have any pricing on these either, but it wouldn't be hard to find out.
