5.9 dying at stop lights
just my 2 cents but when me and steve were troubleshooting a temp gauge problem i had to take off the air box ontop of the TB to get to the ECT sensor, well i put the air box back onto the throttlebody and started it up and it ran like crap..did exactly what your describing. well the airbox ring clamp that clamps around the TB wasnt on all the way and there was a noticable gap between the TB and the rim of the air box where air was leaking in .. not to mention unclean air. i fixed it and wam bam like new again.. its somthing that isnt easy to over look...just make sure when your fiddling with the stock airbox to make sure thres s good tight seal on the TB and it isnt miss-alighned... may start problems you wont want... just my 2cents
OK sorry guys im back iv looked it over and over the TB is clean the Air box is on right all the wires are hooked up, now its time to start with the sensors im guess my 1st one is the Throttle Position Sensor i hope thats not alot of money (lol) or can i tast it doing that can of air?
Yea their are no air leaks or anything, the bad news the TPS is about 60 bucks. I got to say this is the only problem i have ever had with my 1997 dodge ram 1500 its be great truck and a hard worker, the guy befor i bought it used it to tow a gose neck and had a
2 1/2 inch ball on the hitch so im surprise how well its done and im sure i will get many more years out of it.
