Default How are the dome and map lights wired?

I have a short somewhere on my 01 Ram. The IOD fuse keeps blowing immediately. To solve this I just rewired the radio which works fine. The problem is I have no interior lights. I can't find the short so am thinking it may be easier to just rewire the dome/map lights as well. What I'm curious about is how they are wired. It would be fairly easy to run wires to the map lights. Is the dome light then tied into the map lights as well, or do I need to run a separate wire to the dome light? Is the best thing to do to run new wire all the way to these lights, or is there someone else in the middle of the harness it would be easy to tap into and hope the short isn't after that?

Service manual has wire schematics in it.
Download in the FAQ's section.
