Sorry y pipe not downpipe... but yeah that's what I'm talking about. My pipes are leaking because where the muffler was is just a pipe that was in a barn that has rusted holes in it is too big and doesn't seal perfectly. Now the headers, driver side header is cracked right at the bend...

Sounds like you need another set of shorty headers and an OEM catalytic converter, which includes the Y-pipe built onto it. If your muffler is bad, you will need that too, along with a tailpipe. The stock muffler and tailpipe is 2.5". Also, the stock pipe exiting off the cat (and goes into the front of the muffler) is 2.5".

In in macungie in Pennsylvania. I guess I'll just go with pacesetter shortcuts and just keep the pipe now, unless long tube headers make it sound worth all the work!

I've decided on Gibson shorty headers, but in not sure whether to get nickel chrome plated or natural stainless steel. They're the gp301 and gp301s

Gibson was my shortie choice (GP301SC), but there was just something about LT's that won me over.

The Pacesetters have 1¾" primaries and 3" collectors.

Sc is ceramic coated right? Are there any advantages of ceramic coated? Honestly right now with the hedmen headers it sounds pretty good, but I think Gibson would be an upgrade

Ceramic coated helps keep heat in the tube longer and out of the engine bay.
Same concept as lagging, without the bulk and moisture trapping issue.
