Default 1998 Ram 1500 with 5 speed swap stalling

I got a 98 Ram 1500 with a 318 4wd. Bought it with an automatic trans and it started acting up so I had it switched to a 5 speed. Had no trouble with it for over 3 months. Then all of a sudden I was driving it home one day and the speedometer quit working and every time I would push the clutch in it would stall. The speedometer will randomly work now. When it quits working is when it stalls with the clutch in. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I didn't do anything to it since the 5 speed swap and it was fine. Then all of a sudden its having issues. It does have the original computer that has been rewired to trick it into thinking theres an auto in it. But it worked fine for the guys truck who did it for me. Might be the problem but I have no idea I am not a mechanic at all. If anyone knows whats wrong please le me know. I'm tired of sinking money into it

Replace the rear wheel speed sensor that sits on top of the rear differential. It also provides info for the speedometer. See if that also solves the stalling issue.
