180 or 195 thermostat

Poll says more folks use the 180, doesn't necessarily imply it is 'best'. Fair few folks use the 180 because that is what is recommended with their tuner. If you are running stock programming, it really doesn't help you.

And if you're in northern clims, I would stick with the 195° purely for the additional cab heat... 180° doesn't heat the cab that well, even in S. Florida.

i put the 180 in my truck when i did the plenum. Can't say it did anything but it didn't mess anything up either. Same fuel economy same temp at the gauge, maybe runs a little cooler than with the stock t- stat in there but that could be because of the new coolant. But for me it did nothing harmful or beneficiary.

I also changed to a 180 Stant Superstat when I did the plenum, along with an engine swap, in addition to installing a new all-aluminum radiator and water pump. Engine runs perfectly on the stock tune. I like the slightly cooler temp. I have encountered no issue with heat in the cab during the winter.
