14x3 is the best. diy/faq section poll would of told you that but the Factory intake is very restrictive..Do not buy spectra..thats like buying harbor freight. Dont forget pictures.

 

14x3 draws hot air from the engine compartment. Stock system is just fine, unless you are building a high rpm motor. Dropping a good free flowing air filter into the stock box is actually "best" for most folks.

 

Some of us like that hot air :P Its quality not quantity!

Hey it works for me :P In my experience, i have not noticed a diff with a 14x3 vs a cai, or anything else for that matter. The biggest thing IMO: is the filter clean or dirty? That seems to make a much much larger difference!

 

The difference in power is probably so minor as to be irrelevant to most of us here..... some folks like the sound of the open element filter better..... I like peace and quiet when I drive. (yeah, that's why I like to bring my dogs with me.... go figure.....)

 

I also have a cherrybomb glasspack and the radio is always up so i suppose im not much of the peace and quiet person? haha

Don't see where you guys hear that 14x3 when driving! Maybe my exhaust is too loud or something.. It does sound like a little turbo spoolin when I start it up and give it a touch of throttle though.
