So my service manual and royal purple said my diffs take 2.45 qts. i got to about 2.10 and it started coming out the fill hole. whats the deal? i dont want to over fill and right now it is literally at its max, right level with the base of the fill hole

You just fill it up to right below the full hole. Ovefilling will cause gear oil to come pouring out everywherreand overrun your seals

so if it is sitting level and not coming out the fill hole its ok? or should i suck some out? so i was adding the .45 when it started coming out of the fill hole so it stopped leaking right when it got just a hair below the hole obviously. that too much in there?

Drive is a LITTLE BIT, then recheck the fluid. Sometimes it takes a bit for it all to go where it wants. Driving it with low fluid gets expensive quick.
