If you still have the check valve I would start with getting rid of it.

Yeah that's on my list for sure, but that's on the out line so it appears my current problem is getting fluid to the in line. I'm wondering if a pump has failed

Pretty Much sounds like you're rad lines are clogged all to hell. Which isn't a big suprise considering what you drive through haha.

Probbably just mud and other gunk. Find a way to get it out. and you'll probably be alright.

I'm not that knowledgeable about autos though so it very well could be a pump. Either way if you dont start getting fluid through the coolers you will be screwed.

If the check valve has failed, there won't be any flow thru either line. Eliminate the check valve, see if things change.

Keep in mind, unless you have had some custom work done on your trans, there won't be flow thru the lines in Park. Won't fill the T/C either.

Yeah I knew it had to be in neutral. Tomorrow I'm going to delete the check valve and run the lines to my new cooler. Tonight it was better. In line was hot while out line was warm so I don't know what's going on. I'll start with the check valve.

Well boys and girls, tonight was her last ride Deleted the check valve and hooked up my cooler this evening but she died on the test run. I now have a loud buzzing sound coming from the transmission or torque converter and I cannot go into any gear. The odd time it will slip into gear but only lasts maybe 5 seconds. Time to rebuild or find used I guess

Yup, rebuild or 5 speed swap, or sell it for junk.

I found a 99 2500 for $1000 with Dana 60's and a 241 tcase that isn't too far from me. The body parts on it that are bad are good on mine and the body parts on mine that are bad are good on it so I may make 1 truck out of 2. 160,000km with a rebuilt transmission. Apparently need minor work so I'll see.
