oil pressure problems

Default oil pressure problems

1997 Ram 1500, My Ram 1500 4wd has a gauge and a light, the gauge shows 40 psi and the light comes on? Could the oil pressure switch be the problem?

its probably a bad sending unit.

Looks like oil pressure questions are the new Plenum and Ball Joint questions for the week.

Mine did that.... I replaced the pressure sending unit. Problem solved.
