I have looking into putting a turbo on my 5.2 ram. what would all need to get this done. I have never had a turbo engine before so don't know much but would like to learn

 

Well first off you're going to need a turbo! It depends on how you want to do it. They make a turbo that connects to your exhaust pipe and is hidden under your truck.
One thing to make it even better would be to stroke your 5.2. Hughes Engines has kits on sale right now and if you stroked your 5.2 it would turn it into a 390.
You're going to need a turner of some type. You will also need larger injectors. Your best bet is to find someone who has done a kit plus get books on turbo charging to help you figure out how and what to do.

Universal kit, still need a manifold, (difficult) and downpipe. (easy)

 

Your looking at a lot of time and a lot of money in parts, labor, and tuning to get it to run. Why not just build a stroker motor and get a tuner ?. It would be a lot cheaper.

 

If you have to ask, you need to do a lot more reading. A lot of people talk about it but nobody does it.

Big advantage of a turbo motor over a stoker is fuel mileage.
