a month ago when i put the governor pressure solenoid in i changed the fluid and filter. 178 on truck i believe. I got the chugging to stop at idle by connecting the #4 spark plug wire back to the distributor. It's amazing what youll miss at 3 am when puting something back together. I scanned the truck at lunch getting codes 753 and 1752. I'm thinkingthe pin are grounding out at the input on my trans. However I think the gov pressure solenoid took a crap with the new pump also.

P0753 Trans 3-4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circs

I can't find anything on 1752, but, I CAN find where folks have had readers give them that code in error......

I would be tempted to go to my local junk yard, and see if I could find another connector to splice in there...... or try and order one from someplace like LMC truck, or even the dealer if it came to that.

Grab the Factory Service manual. Connector pinouts are in there. (get it here.)

Reconnected all pins, cleaned gp sensor, replaced gov pressure solenoid. Still only 2nd and third gear. I've heard people saying that the 02 senors circuit is on the same circuit as the trans.Should i start there?

O2 sensors get power from the ASD relay. Only real commonality I can see is, both the ASD, and Trans control relay control circuits get their power from the same place. As the engine will start, and run..... I am thinking that side of things is OK.

Are you getting a good solid 12volts TO the transmission?

If the trans is in limp mode, there *should* be a code or two set.

yes, the same two codes as i had mentioned before. So i should be getting 12 volts on pin 2 on the harness (orange solid wire?) and yes the engine starts and runs fine.
