I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.2L. Just bought from a private owner, drove for about a week but the 4x4 selector (floor selector) kept slipping into neutral, and was a B***h to get back in gear. Now it has slipped and wont go into gear at all. I know its probably a problem within the transfer case but does anyone have any ideas on what specifically could be the issue?

... replace it. It very well could be the linkage not... (answered in second topic)

 

....lined up or adjusted properly.
