Default U joint clip

When I took my driveshaft off one of the clips broke off the cup. Do I need to get a new u joint or is it okay without the clip. You can see in the picture one side has a clip and one doesn't.

If I were you, I would replace that u-joint. It doesn`t look to be in good condition, and there not that expensive.

Ok I'm going to replace it. Just need to buy a grease gun and the kit from harbor freight for doing u joints and ball joints since I need to do those also. Is this the right kit to do the u joint and ball joints?http://m.harborfreight.com/ball-join...les-60827.html

I would go to the part store and rent theirs. Might as well bend theirs.

Unless you want to spend more money and buy a good press.

You really dont need a kit. Just use sockets and a table vise.
