Arrow Transmission Seal and Transfer Case Seal

So I pulled the transfer case in preparation for the swap. It's never been out since I've owned this pig.

For those of you that have pulled yours in and out multiple times....big props to you. Such a bugger. Most likely would have not gotten it out without the 3" body lift. lol So again, huge props to you guys out there working that tight clearance.

So I think my transmission seal looks just fine. I do have a new one just in case. However, the transfer case seal looks like could use a new one.

What say you pros?

My transmission had some black silicone on it when I pulled them apart.

I replaced it too, since I 've never had a leak.

if it is out replace them both. I got factory mopar seals for mine in was around twenty dollars for them. it may look decent but you wouldn't want to have to redo the job in a year or so just for that one.

Exactly. I would hate to reinstall only to take it out again to replace a $20 seal

Yeah, you can barely see a faint remnant of that on the tranny side. I've had weeping and these seals are the source.

So I'll pop the tranny one.

For the tcase one, I picked up a new one for it. Putting up for sale so the new owner can do it as a part of their own check out on the unit. It has the tcase saver piece on the tailshaft too.

From the factory seals used.

xcase = double lip seal
tranny = single lip seal= **** poor sealing from the outside.
Upgrade the tranny seal to a double lip seal.

Part numbers are on the web.
